CAPA faculty includes some of Australia’s leading performing arts specialists and educators. Classes are offered daily for children from 3 years to Adults – beginners to professional levels with classes held at Warriewood and Collaroy Plateau Studios.

Alexandra  Harrington
Director, Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) Classical Ballet, Australian Teachers of Dance (A.T.O.D), Tap Attack Oz, Jazz, Contemporary,  Drama, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics Arts, C.A.P.A Creative, C.A.P.A Dance, C.A.P.A AcroDance.

Alexandra has been in the Entertainment Industry and Performing Arts Education for more than 25 years. She is an experienced, qualified teacher and certified instructor for  the Internationally recognised organisations: Acrobatic Arts (Acro dancer) , Tap attack Oz (Tap) , Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet), O Grady  Academy (Drama), Trinity College (Musical theatre, Singing and Drama).

Alexandra commenced her professional Dance and performance career  at the age of 17 years and has worked both nationally and internationally in live theatre, film, television and theme parks.  She was Principle Dancer  “Lola” in Baz Luhrmann Film Moulin Rouge, Belinda Emmett’s “Off the Wall” Pop Video, World Expo Aquacade show, Viva Las Vegas Show and Channel 10 Rockettes to name a few.

She was Dance Captain/Deputy Cruise Director and Casting director of Princess Cruises Los Angeles performing many theatre productions shows such as Cats, West Side Story and My Fair Lady and then went on the auditioning and casting Nationally. 

Alexandra was Show Director/Choreographer for Walt Disney Special Events Australasia were she directed and choreographed many major live events throughout Australia, Asia and the USA.  Some highlights: Hercules premiere  Hollywood Bowl and 5oth celebrations Tokyo Dome. 

She was Head of Performance, at the Australian International Performing Arts High School, Head of Dance at the McDonald College of Performing Arts, Teacher at the Sydney Dance Company.

She is also the concept and creator of the first VETAB accredited Certificate IV in Performing Arts.

Alexandra is the creator of  Wild Aussies Pty Ltd, a children’s educational program and entertainment business that offers a wonderful pre-school program for 2:5-5yrs. The live has show travelled Nationally and Internationally educating “Little Aussies” about endangered species which lead to her creating and directing the “Spirits of the Sky”, Tales of Platypus Creek both world first live animal shows with  Zoo’s Victoria at Healesville Sanctuary.

Past students have and are currently working in all aspects of Theatre, Television and film Nationally and Internationally from Broadway, West End to Las Vegas in such shows such as  The Book of Mormons, Matilda, Les Miserables, Westside Story, Brittney Spears, Celine Dion and Cirque du Soleil productions.

Other students have achieved placements in Classical and Contemporary companies  such as The Royal Ballet London, The Australian Ballet and the Sydney Dance Company.

Hollywood, Bollywood Films and Television series such as The Black Balloon, Sanctum, Edge of Darkness, Home and away, Neighbours and A Place called Home and commercial such as Hungry Jacks, KFC, Salvation Army Back to School Campaign.

Kristie Deaves  (Jazz. Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Classical Ballet, Tap Competition teams and Adult Dance classes)

Kristie trained at the McDonald College School of Performing Arts and London Studio Centre, graduating with Distinction and twice winning the Tom Merrifield Scholarship for the Best All-Rounder.

She has peformed in many professioinal Theatre productions such as; Crazy for You, Grease, My Fair Lady and Long Way to the Top Tour to name a few.

Kristie’s professional career also includes dance contracts on cruise ships in internationally as a dancer/dance captain and choreographer.

I have been a professional dance teacher now for 15 years and have guest taught at the Sydney Dance Company. Since having young kids of my own i know love being able to teach young dancers and share my passion for the industry.

Ella Yendle (R.A.D Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics Arts)

Ella trained in RAD Classical Ballet where she received Distinction in all Grades – Advanced 1. She went on to complete her full time dance studies at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy.  To compliment her classical training she studied other genres such as Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical. Ella is passionate about dance and strives to get the most out of every child while fostering the love of dance with her students.
